Terms of Service

By downloading or using Ollia, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Not an emergency service

Ollia is not an emergency service and must not be used as one. Do not rely on Ollia in life-threatening situations. Always contact your local emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) directly in an emergency.

Ollia provides passive activity reassurance only. It does not guarantee real-time status accuracy, uninterrupted service, or notification delivery. Network outages, device settings, and other factors may affect the app's ability to detect or report activity.

Ollia is a reassurance tool, not a safety guarantee. The absence of an alert does not mean a person is safe, and the presence of an alert does not mean they are in danger. Always use your own judgment and contact emergency services when in doubt.

2. Who can use Ollia

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ollia. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@ollia.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Ollia for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
• Use Ollia to surveil or monitor someone without their knowledge and consent
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Abuse the invite system to spam others

5. Safety alert data

Safety alerts shown in Ollia are sourced from third-party official sources — USGS, NOAA, and GDACS. We display this data as-is and do not modify or verify it. Ollia is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any safety alert. Always refer to official government sources for emergency information.

6. Premium features & early access

Ollia offers a free tier and a Premium plan. Premium features are clearly marked in the app.

During our early access period, Premium features are provided free of charge to our first users. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscriptions in the future. If and when we do, existing users will be notified in advance and will not be charged without their explicit consent.

When paid subscriptions are introduced, they will be billed through the App Store and subject to Apple's payment terms. You may cancel at any time from your device's subscription settings.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ollia and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to missed alerts, service interruptions, or data loss.

Ollia is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Ollia after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved under UAE jurisdiction.
